Amazon has posted their financial numbers for the second quarter of 2012. Amazon’s net income for the quarter only amounted to $7 million.

This 96% drop from the same quarter a year ago is harsh, but Amazon says its profits were affected by changes in the foreign exchange rate. The change cost them $272 million, apparently.
